Kitchen Renovations and remodelling with the team that handles everything from beginning to end. The kitchen renovation process can initially seem daunting. Still, with our team behind you, we will quickly turn your dream into a reality. Below are some points to take into consideration before you start this journey. Floor Plan and Layout It is crucial to consider the floor plan when renovating your kitchen. Creating a visually appealing kitchen requires a well-designed floor plan that maximises storage and functionality. These are some popular kitchen layouts that stood the test of time. U-shaped Kitchens Larger kitchens can take advantage of a U-shaped design and layout. This shaped kitchen allows for maximum benchtop and storage space. With a U-shaped kitchen, you will typically have cabinets and benchtops on all three walls. This layout allows several spaces to prepare or cook food and ample room for entertaining guests while cooking. U-Shape kitchens divide the three main cooking areas into a nice clean setup of preparation, cooking and a third space for cleaning and stacking dishes, pans etc... Due to this type of kitchen's larger shape and layout, you can squeeze in as many cabinets, doors, drawers and storage bins as required. Clutter-free is the result, as there is ample space to store all your pots, pans, plates and cooking utensils. In a spacious U-shape kitchen, you can also fit in a central island, but keep in mind that this requires a big area but makes for a perfect spot for a breakfast bar or social area. L-shaped Kitchens A popular option for small to medium-sized kitchens, L-shaped kitchens feature cabinets and countertops on two walls, forming an L shape. As a space-saving option, this is an excellent choice as it is very efficient. There is a clear division between where you cook, where you prepare food and also where you wash up. Keeping everything organised in the kitchen is easy this way. L-shaped kitchens provide plenty of benchtop and storage space and are ideal for anyone that enjoys cooking and entertaining. Clutter is reduced, and everything is kept tidy. An L-shaped kitchen can also add an island for benchtop space and storage. Still, it may not be as spacious as an open floor plan or a U-shaped kitchen. Galley Kitchens When you've got two parallel walls and a space in between, it's time for a galley kitchen. This layout is handy in units and duplexes, especially long skinny ones. Benchtops that face each other allow for maximum workspace in a minimal area. In contrast, the walk space between the benches allows easy movement and organisation of dishes etc... Ample cabinets and modern, efficient drawers for storage are great solutions to maximise space and storage capacity. Although a galley-style kitchen is great when you prefer a more open floor plan, there are better layouts for communal dining. Island Kitchens Island kitchens are the perfect choice when you have a large area and want a practical and pleasant layout. Due to the space required around the island, this is a choice generally reserved for areas of at least 25 metres squared. By putting an island in the middle, you can use it for preparation work, dining, entertainment, and space-intensive tasks like pasta making. Often, you can also fit a double sink or a central cooktop, and a dishwasher or two is also commonplace. A kitchen with an island also creates a more open floor plan. In addition to allowing communication and flow between the kitchen and other living areas, the island can be a visual divider between them. AN island in the centre also opens up the floorplan and creates a lovely space in the middle for gatherings and socialising. Single Wall The single-wall kitchen layout has only one wall of cabinets and countertops, making it an ideal choice for small kitchens. This kitchen layout is often used in small units, duplexes, or homes with minimal space. Open Floor Plan Kitchens with open floor plans have no walls separating them from the living and kitchen areas. This type of layout promotes a more social and open atmosphere, which is increasingly popular. It allows the cook to participate in the conversation and activities while preparing the meal. Since open floor plans do not have walls to divide them up, they provide a sense of spaciousness. As a result, the home can seem more extensive and more welcoming. Kitchen Trends Black stainless steel and other premium colours are increasingly used in kitchen remodelling projects. Most stainless steel fixtures and appliances are long-lasting and simple to maintain, giving the kitchen a contemporary and streamlined appearance. Utilising natural light in kitchen design is another trend that is growing in popularity. Kitchens can become more spacious and breezy by installing expansive windows or skylights. Additionally, this increases the space's prominence and energy efficiency. Another style that is becoming more popular in kitchen design is open shelves. Open shelving in the kitchen can offer a contemporary and minimalistic aesthetic while adding more storage space. Custom joinery can enhance a luxury kitchen. You can design your kitchen with unique cabinetry, countertops, and other amenities. It is still possible to renovate a kitchen on a mid-range budget. Adding storage space to a kitchen and updating the cabinets and countertops can significantly improve its appearance. Outdoor kitchens are becoming more and more fashionable, especially in Sydney. These improvements to your home can increase your living space and give you an excellent area for entertaining.
